The economic crisis has affected many people who once thought they were on a long and safe career path. Mike Wagner (White Rabbit Group) and Ben Stone (RPO Consulting) are offering a free 1/2 day workshop aimed at helping people take a fresh look at their careers and their network. To have a successful career we all need to be willing to “reinvent”. Reinvention means reinventing the value we bring to employers… reinventing how we discover opportunity… reinventing how we create our networks.

Reinventing Des Moines

You’re invited to gather on February 24th, 2010 from 9 – Noon to learn how to take your first “reinvention” steps.  This workshop is open to the anyone and is being offered free of charge - all we ask in exchange for your attendance is that you consider a donation to the Greater Des Moines YMCA's Partner With Youth Campaign.

Through Partner With Youth, individuals and businesses in the community partner with the YMCA to make sure every child can be a part of the YMCA. Partner With Youth underwrites many youth developmental programs such as after-school child care, teen clubs and camp. It also provides program and membership scholarships to children and families who would otherwise be unable to afford to participate.

Reinventing Your Career

Anyone can reshape their career. But it does take time, encouragement from friends and a fresh perspective on what relevance looks like in the job market. During this session you’ll learn the 3 Commitments you’ll need to make to yourself when reinventing your career. This session is being lead by Michael Wagner, President of White Rabbit Group. Michael is a skilled communicator, facilitator, and business coach with a passion for branding.

Reinventing Your Network

Social currency is becoming critical to personal and professional succes. There’s no better way to cultivate this key ingrediant than through Social Networking. During this session, you’ll learn how to use Social Media platforms to connect the dots and reinvent your personal network. This session is being lead by Ben Stone, Owner of RPO Consulting. Ben is a seasoned recruiter, trainer, and Social Media consultant with a drive to help others.
